The Port of New Orleans (Port NOLA) is currently conducting damage assessments following Hurricane Francine. Terminal operations are CLOSED Thursday, September 12, 2024, for clean-up and to prepare the terminals to return to normal operations on Friday, September 13, 2024. New Orleans Public Belt Operations (NOPB) operations are OPEN as of 2:00pm Thursday, September 12, 2024. The Port of New Orleans Administration Building will be CLOSED Thursday, September 12, 2024, and is expected to reopen Friday, September 13, 2024. Port NOLA is in close contact with Carnival Cruise Line regarding operational plans for the Carnival Valor, which is expected to depart Port NOLA Friday, September 13, 2024. Given the shortened trip duration, Carnival will operate the Valor as a voyage without a port of call visit. Carnival will be in direct contact with cruise passengers by 2 p.m. (CST) Thursday, September 12, 2024, with more information and options.
