The Port of New Orleans’ annual State of the Port address is slated for Oct. 17, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marriott New Orleans Downtown located at 859 Convention Center Blvd. in New Orleans. Hosted by International Freight Forwarders and Custom Brokers Association of New Orleans (IFFCBANO), the State of the Port luncheon is an important annual event that provides Port NOLA the opportunity to share the latest news and future plans with industry stakeholders and the community.
Keynote remarks will be made by Port NOLA President and CEO Brandy D. Christian. The theme of this year’s State of the Port is “Port NOLA: Working for You.”
“The past year has been a thrilling time for the Port and our region, and I look forward to sharing what we’ve been working on, together with our partners, to grow business and our regional economy. We’ll also celebrate our tenants’ successes and the people working in our industry who make it all possible.”
Also featured at the luncheon, IFFCBANO will present the Rose Mary PeDotti and Georgette Archer Scholarship Awards to two students, family members of IFFCBANO members who have been recognized for their scholastic achievements. The luncheon serves as an important fundraiser for those scholarships. There are still sponsorships available at every level, and individual tickets are $55.
